I’ve always known I wanted to become a teacher since I was very young. I grew up around teachers and it never crossed my mind to think of a different career path. I also have seven adopted cousins who all have special needs; which motivated me to pursue special education as well. Growing up in New York, I have been placed in multiple bilingual and inner city schools where most students are ESL students. I have experience with students struggling behind grade level, with a learning disability or family situations. All these experiences have taught me how to adapt and be flexible as well as compassionate with my students. I have gained such a passion for teaching and all the little things being a teacher entails. I want to be a teacher that students will remember years down the line, I want to make a positive impact on students’ lives and motivate them to push themselves further each day. Being a teacher is one of the most rewarding jobs and I personally find being an ESL teacher exceptionally more rewarding. Nothing makes me happier than helping students find the confidence within themselves to achieve their goals. I want to work for a company that prioritizes their students' knowledge in all content areas, supports students as well as teachers and holds their school to high standards. I want to be a part of a company that impacts students' lives in multiple ways and provides them with great opportunities to succeed. I am very excited to be given the opportunity the teach abroad again, meet new students, learn from different teachers and education systems and immerse myself in Korean culture.
